Los Angeles Basin Stratigraphy 28 x 42,
paired pieces $6200.00
The Los Angeles Basin, the most prolific of its size in the state, supported 100's of wells along the California coast. This structurally complex
basin was born from tectonic forces pushing plates past each other, generating
faults, accretionary wedges, and deep structure.
Oil derricks, visible only from vintage postcards and historical photos, once filled the landscape
above oil producing strata.
Today this section, interpreted in fabric and stone, pays tribute to those days.
